4th Generation – Perc - Pronto

Streamlined and narrow in design, the Pronto is perfectly tailored to occupy less floor space while delivering high volume cleaning.

Available in 25, 30 and 40 lb. capacities, this compact drycleaning machine incorporates both innovative technical and safety features usually offered only on larger machines.

Simple to operate, the Pronto is equipped with an IL-1 computer with push-button technology. Next generation innovations include pre-pump filter and built-in solvent spillage retention tank. Other patented features such as Roto-Disc filter system and automatic still cleanout, complete the package.

Built in the Columbia tradition using only quality materials, the Pronto is both solid and durable. It is environmentally and economically engineered for lowest PPM and highest possible solvent mileage.

Dimensions:

Because of its compact design, all gauges, instruments and controls are positioned to make access to operation and service effortless. The Pronto saves space and is easy to install.  Click here to view dimensions.

Roto-Disc:

During the cleaning process dirt that is not dissolved is carried away by solvent. Through the filtration of the solvent, the insoluble dirt is then removed from the cleaning bath.

Roto-Disc, a powderless spin filtration system, traps impurities with a special 30-micron fine mesh fabric. Filtering pressure increases with the build-up of soil and other matters on the filter disks.

Filter regeneration is fast and simple as the Roto-Disc spins itself clean, drains into the distiller and refills automatically with no emission of or exposure to perc vapors. It is as simple as starting the program on the IL-1 computer. An all carbon post filter is provided for the removal of fugitive dyes.

The IL-1 Computer:

A total of 16 program functions make it easy to access standard and special programs via a symbol display and at the touch of a button. Independent manual control allows interruption of a cycle at any time and assures that the machine is never down due to a computer fault. All functions of the IL-1 computer can be manually operated at any time.

The Metatron® (Optional 5th Generation Upgrade)

The Metatron Perc Vapor Analyzer continuously measures and controls drying temperatures to insure optimum solvent reclamation and lowest PPM levels. Developed to meet strict safety standards of the European market, the Metatron is installed on all our machines sold in Germany. Every Columbia Drycleaning machine sold here is equipped with components for installation of a Metatron if required by future regulations. All our machines are tested prior to shipment utilizing the analyzer, which assures that Columbia machines will meet and exceed the requirements of federal, state and local regulation.

Multi-Solver:

The Multi-Solver Adsorption System and hi-speed turbine reduces residual perc vapors to near zero PPM before the loading door is opened.

Regeneration of the Multi-Solver is automatically performed by a pre-set computer program. To prevent crystallizing of the carbon pellets, hot air from outside of the carbon adsorber is drawn into the Multi-Solver to vaporize and reclaim the solvent from the carbon surface. No waste-water is produced during regeneration and no vapor is released into the atmosphere. Regeneration takes place in a completely closed circuit system.  Click here for more solvent information.

Internal Drum and Rear Gable Lint Washout System:

Used for cleaning the rear of the drum compartment and drum, as well as drum housing and webbing. Thereby preventing the deposit of soap and lint build-up that can retain solvent vapors and may lead to poor drying.

This system is operating automatically during every wash program of the IL-1 computer.

Cleaning of the Distillation:

A patented emission-free system efficiently cleans the still without opening the cleaning door.

The automatic still cleanout features a free-moving rake and a piston type sludge pump. A 1 ¼" pipe for sludge removal and an air displacement pipe is provided for the return of contaminated air from your hazardous waste drum. For the operator’s safety and for the safety of the environment, this is a closed system.  Click here for a cleaning walkthrough.
